AMA and Affiliated Organizations Engage in Survey on How Telehealth Impacts Physicians and Their Practices
Since COVID-19 started, we have all experienced a significant shift toward telehealth. The American Medical Association (AMA) has been working on a Telehealth Impact Physician survey in collaboration with The MITRE Corporation, Mayo Clinic, and others as part of an effort of the COVID-19 Healthcare Coalition. They have invited all physicians to complete the online Telehealth Impact Study—Provider Survey. The study has been approved by the Mayo Clinic Institutional Review Board and is part of our efforts in the COVID-19 Healthcare Coalition to address the pandemic. The goal of this project is to learn more about your experience with telehealth to identify the challenges, barriers, and benefits.
Building on existing research, responses will help inform additional resources needed across the industry and health care community, provide insights for federal and state policymakers, and identify gaps in current research. Respondent and organization information will remain confidential and will only be reported in aggregate. The findings will be publicly available on the COVID-19 Healthcare Coalition website, and they will be shared by the various organizations participating in the Coalition Telehealth Workgroup.
The COVID-19 Healthcare Coalition is focused on understanding the telehealth experiences of individual physicians, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants. Please click here to start the survey: https://src.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6KAkyEVfhtGj3vL. It will take up to 15 to 20 minutes to complete and will be accessible through August 13, 2020. Remember to click submit at the end of the survey.
The Coalition wants to hear from as many clinicians as possible to inform its work. If you have colleagues who use telehealth, please consider forwarding this invitation to them.
